We spend approximately ninety percent of our time indoors. That’s why it’s crucial that the (shared) spaces we enter daily, where we spend our time, adequately support our health, safety, and well-being. ConvergenCE aims to provide the best conditions in this regard for its tenants and visitors. ACADEMIA is the first downtown building to receive WELL pre-certification.
Our environment significantly influences our health and well-being. A fundamental task at the drawing board is now the knowledge and application, integration of numerous positive, health-focused solutions, and technologies. Right from the beginning of the ACADEMIA office building renovation, the focus was on the individual, the employee, and the visiting guest. WELL, developed over ten years and supported by the latest research, provides certifications to buildings and organizations that offer the best conditions for optimal performance, prioritizing physical and mental well-being. Projects must pay particular attention to the quality and condition of elements such as air, water, thermal comfort, light, movement, sound, and stimuli affecting the mind.
Following the submission of project documentation and the completion of the testing period, the building is expected to achieve its final WELL Platinum and Gold certifications in the spring of 2024.
“Conquering a mountaintop for the first time, breaking through the finish line in a race, being the first in anything in life is a tremendous achievement and a great feeling,” expressed Gábor Zeley, ConvergenCE‘s senior project manager.
“It’s especially gratifying that, following the Access4you certification, another accreditor has judged that the decisions made during the design and subsequent development phases proved to be sound. This resulted in the opening of a building of such quality, where the latest and most advanced features have been incorporated. Ensuring perfect working conditions is a top priority for all our office buildings, so these feedbacks are very significant. I would like to express my gratitude to Regina Kurucz from Greenbors Consulting, who has contributed significantly to ensuring that ACADEMIA becomes the first to receive this recognition in the downtown area.”
